Core Values
I have built my advocacy experience in and support for the Black & Indigenous community in various roles. I’ve also volunteered for the Parents of Multiple Births Association (POMBA) and I'm very experienced in working with families of multiples, navigating the pregnancy and potential complications that can arise when it’s considered a high-risk pregnancy.
I’m very excited to be on this journey with my Doula Sister, Sattina, to support more women / pregnant people, more babies, and more families
After experiencing miscarriages and a termination, myself, I realized there is a huge lack of care, and emotional support for people during and after experiencing this type of personal trauma. The empathy, patience and emotional support needed is crucial for mental health, grieving and healing.
I was born and raised in Halifax NS, and currently in Dartmouth NS. I am a proud wife, and a mother of twins plus one. I trained to become a Doula in 2019. In 2021, I trained to provide postpartum support, and support to anyone who has gone through a termination process. I got Internationally Certified by ProDoula as a Birth Doula in 2023.
Since my 20’s, I have emotionally supported women postpartum, and women going through miscarriages. I realized there are doulas for this because women and pregnant people are often left alone, while miscarrying, and also following pregnancy terminations
